Personal profile

Primary fields of research

I study the the physiopathology of peripheral nerves and the central nervous system.

A special focus is how we can use technology solutions for activation and documentation of functional deficiencies.

Current research

  1. Interreg Health Advancing Technologies (HeAT): Examination of Digital Health Technologies for reporting symtoms and signs of neuropathy. Can we use mobile technology to follow neuropathy? We are studying Neuropathy Tracker as a tool for early quantification of Chemotherapy Induced Neuropathy in Breast Cancer (Supported by Interreg DK/DE).
  2. Cortical reaction to visual stimuli with the focus on the importance of screen technology and light compositions.
  3. Interaction between cortical and autonomic function. We examine signals from Electroencephalography (EEG) and Electrocardiography (ECG) in healthy subjects and during epileptic seizures. We further examine the interaction in patients with acute intracranial lesions.
  4. The effect of sleep and physical activity on motor learning. We examine how interactions improve cortical plasticity in patients with Multiple Sclerosis (Supported by The Danish MS Society and Gangsted Foundation)
