Short presentation

My research focuses on mapping, characterizing, and analyzing individual trees and shrubs outside forests in East African drylands. This research, which is framed under the project "Mapping, characterizing and analyzing individual trees and shrubs outside forests in African drylands", aims at using very high-resolution satellite images and deep learning techniques coupled with radiative transfer modelling to identify and characterize individual trees and shrubs over a large scale, especially in East Africa.
