Dr. Morten Ingerslev, has more than 20 years of professional experience with nutrient cycling in different ecosystems with emphasis on forests. He acts as the Danish NFC within ICP Forests since 2010. He is experienced in monitoring chemical properties in soil, soil solution, water and plant material. He is a specialist in experimental design, scientific data management and analysis. The research is focused on the following subjects: i) forest ecosystem analysis and management, ii) ecosystem nutrient budgets, iii) bioenergy fuel production and extraction from various ecosystems, iv) Bioenergy ash application as fertilizer, v) Tree nutrient status analysis, vi) liming and fertilization of trees, and vii) manipulative forest ecosystem management. He has made his Ph.D. thesis on “Vitalization of mature Norway spruce stands by fertilization and liming”. He has international experience from cooperation with Nordic, central European, and eastern European countries.
