    Short presentation

I specialise in research about news media and popular culture, especially cultural journalism and cultural criticism across media, incl. the interplay of cultural journalists and their news sources from the cultural industries; media sociological perspectives on cultural journalism; and longitudinal studies of the transformation of cultural journalism in the news media. Based on a Carlsberg Monograph Fellowship I am turning parts of my extensive work on cultural journalism in the digital age into a monograph to be published by Routledge. From Fall 2024 to Spring 2028 I am PI of the DFF2-research project EXPOSING: the Public Value of Socio-Mediated Scandals in the Digital Age, studying audience engagement in scandals across media.
