Main interest for the relationship between language and society/culture in the Spanish speaking world.Theoretical approaches: Sociocultural Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis with special focus on politeness and face issues. Research areas: culture, identity and ideology in institutional and non-institutional communicative interactions.
