Peng Ding is a PhD in urban design in the section of Landscape Architecture and Planning. He is an urban designer with a B.Eng. in Urban Planning; MSc. in Landscape Architecture and MSc. in Architecture and Environmental Design.

His field of research is enhancing the quality of public life in urban public spaces during the urban regeneration process.

His PhD project is "Sensory City: Exploring adults’ passive experience of playing children in urban public spaces with different spatial characteristics".
