Personal profile

Short presentation

The overall aim of my research is to understand how oxidative modifications impact on the structure and function of proteins. I am also investigating how these types of modifications influence the formation of supramolecular assemblies and protein aggregates.

A major focus area is the development of mass-spectrometry-based methodologies for qualitative and quantitative analysis of oxidative protein modifications, including intra- and intermolecular cross-links. I also have a long-standing interest in thioredoxins and thiol-disulphide exchange reactions.
