Short presentation

I am a PhD fellow in Kiehn and Allodi Laboratories of the Department of Neuroscience, studying spinal interneuron dysfunction in ALS pathophysiology. While the first part of my project uncovered the early loss of inhibitory pre-motor inputs in ALS and its consequences for locomotor phenotype, I am currently focused on describing the temporal dynamics of spinal interneuron dysregulation in the disease from a transcriptomic point of view. For this purpose, I make use of several multiplexing techniques, including RNAscope HiPlexUp in situ hybridization, spatial transcriptomics, and bioinformatic analysis.
