Personal profile

Short presentation

I'm a teaching assistant professor and PhD student at the Institute of Food and Resource Economics, University of Copenhagen. I teach philosophy of science and ethics to students in food science, veterinary medicine and biotechnology.

Primary fields of research

Food sociology and animal ethics.

Current research

My PhD project is based on a qualitative study of the processes of change involved in vegetarianism and meat reduction over time. Using a prospective study design, I explore the food practices of a group of people embarking on flexitarian, vegetarian, and vegan diets in Denmark. The overall objective is to understand how plant diets are sustained and why they change over time.

Possible conflicts of interest

The PhD project is financed solely by funds from the Department of Food and Resource Economics.
