Short presentation

My research lies within philosophy of information and technology – including privacy studies, surveillance studies, information ethics, philosophy of language, and epistemology – dealing with conceptual questions regarding the relations between information, humans, and (digital) technologies. My contributions to philosophy of information span from conceptualizations of information, misinformation, and disinformation, over analyses of personal information in relation to privacy in a datafied society, to analyses of the differences between humans and digital technologies in regard to surveillance practices, prediction, and knowledge production.

I am PI on the project Absence of information in decision-making processes (Absence) funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark.

I am co-director of Center for Philosophy of AI (CPAI) at University of Copenhagen.

I am part of the project Automating Welfare (AUTO-WELF) funded by the EU's CHANSE program.

And I am chair and organizer of the interdisciplinary network Internet and Society  as well as the research group Technology and Philosophy located at University of Copenhagen.
