Personal profile

Short presentation

My research focuses on the aetiology, clinical course and treatment of chronic inflammatory skin diseases, particularly atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa and chronic urticaria. Special areas of interest are epidemiology, biomarkers and biologic/experimental treatment, tele-health, artificial intelligence, research methodology and ethics.

I am principal investigator or co-investigator on several national and international research studies receiving public and private funding. I collaborate with other research institutions in Denmark and abroad and I am engaged in several international research networks within skin diseases.

Through various trusted and leadership positions in academia and within public-private partnerships I strive to promote research also on the national level in Denmark and internationally.
