Research:

In my current research, I try to quantify regional emissions of biogenic volatile organic compound (BVOC) from Arctic ecosystems. To do so, I combine novel remote sensing techniques with ground-based measurements to establish empirical and functional links between vegetation dynamics, topography, micro/meso-climate measured from aerial platforms, to quantify regional BVOC emission.
Previously, I have conducted research on the i) transport dynamics of microplastic particles and fine sediments in riverine and estuarine environments, ii) macroplastic abundance and source in coastal and marine environments and iii) sediment transport in arctic meltwater systems.
