Personal profile

Short presentation

I hold 10 years of mainly international public health experience and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

I am undertaking a PhD at the Section of Social Medicine, where I investigate the health effects of large structural changes in an ethnically diverse social housing area (Sundhed, Trivsel og Sociale Relationer i Taastrupgaard - STRIT). My main focus is on development of methodologies and quantitative analysis of data.

My previous research experience include the WHO in Mozambique, where I was part of an operational research team supporting the implementation of a randomised controlled trial assessing the effect of a kit to improve the provision of antenatal care in 10 different health centres across the country.

Finally, I have desk-based experience with epidemiological, statistical and qualitative research. At the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, I participated in a large, multi-method evaluation of the Health Transition Fund in Zimbabwe and analysed both quantitative survey data and qualitative interview data to see how the implementation of the Fund had influenced health care provision in a number of primary care facilities.
