My PhD project is titled 'Swinging pendulum or stopped clock? Investigating shifts in the translation norms of Anglophone literary ”classics” within the Danish literary system' and examines diachronic translation tendencies in the translation of English-language canonical literature into Danish. My primary focus is the phenomenon of retranslation, and my project aims to examine the possibilities of NLP tools to map out translation strategies from a more quantitative perspective than previously attempted in studies of retranslation.
