Short presentation

The primary research area is cross-cultural neuropsychology with a focus on diagnostics and examination methods. Other research areas are ethnic inequality in the investigation and treatment of dementia diseases, as well as the development of case-finding instruments for detecting cognitive impairment among elderly patients in general practice. 

Current research projects include the correlation between cultural and linguistic factors, cognitive test performance in bilinguals with Arabic as their primary language, cognitive failures among traumatized refugees, ethnic differences in blood-based biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease, and the development of cross-cultural neuropsychological tests for the assessment of dementia disorders.
