You chang is a veterinary epidemiologist with a strong background in infectious disease modeling and quantitative analysis. She obtained her veterinary degree in China before moving to the Netherlands, where she earned a Master’s degree in Quantitative Veterinary Epidemiology from Wageningen University & Research (WUR). Building on her master’s work, she pursued a PhD at WUR, focusing on the transmission dynamics of bovine tuberculosis between cattle and badgers in Ireland, providing valuable insights to support the Irish eradication programme.

Currently, Dr. Chang is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the TIPTON group at the University of Copenhagen. She leads research on the spillover risk of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAIV) to the Danish cattle industry and contributes to rapid risk assessment within the EU Partnership on Animal Health and Welfare. She also works on the transmission and control of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) in Denmark.
