Short presentation

Zuzanna is Associate Professor in Human Rights and International Institutions and PhD Coordinator at the Faculty of Law. She holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo, and a PhD from iCourts, Centre of Excellence for International Courts at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen.

Drawing on a range of empirical methods, she studies (de)legitimation and trust in international courts, and conceptual evolution in international criminal law. Her research is predominantly empirical and interdisciplinary in nature. It draws on insights from International Law, International Relations and Linguistics, and adopts a variety of methods, including discourse analysis, various text analytical methods, and interviews. Her research has appeared or is forthcoming in the European Journal of International Law, Vanderbilt Journal of Transantional Law, Nordic Journal of Human Rights, Journal of International Criminal Justice, Journal of International Dispute Settlement, New York Journal of International Law and Politics and Human Rights Quarterly, amongst others.

In addition to her research, Zuzanna is managing editor of the Nordic Journal of International Law, member of the Coordinating Committee of the European Society of International Law Interest Group on Social Sciences and International Law and co-organizer of iCourts' PhD Summer School and the PhD course on Social Science Methods for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies organized in collaboration with the Geneva Graduate Institute International Law Department and the European University Institute Department of Law

Together with Aysel Küçüksu, and in collaboration with Algoritmer, Data og Demokrati and the Danish Institute for Human Rights, she is currently establishing a database on the use of articial intelligence in the Danish public sector. The project has received funding from Copenhagen University, Illum Fondet and Dreyers Fond.

Zuzanna currently teaches and supervises BA theses in Fundamental Rights (Individets Grundlæggende Rettigheder).
