Abstract

We are updating our earlier paper in The Journal of Physical Chemistry A to correct an error in the stated reactant pressure.1 Due to a minor leak in the sample holder, the stated pressures of the reactant, CH3OCF2CHF2, added to the reaction chamber are overestimated. This does not affect the published rate coefficients, as they were determined using the relative rate method, nor the lifetime determined. However, this does affect the results published regarding the branching ratios for H-abstraction by Cl, the product formation ratios and yields, the absolute IR spectra and the determined global warming potentials. The pressures of other species in the experiments were unaffected by this and are correctly stated in the original publication.
