Abstract
The article recommends that reporters use the first person singular, but only on special occasions - and then somewhat reluctantly. When in exceptional cases reporters let themselves be provoked to step into their texts in the first person singular, a good story may become distinctly memorable. Articles by Åsne Seierstad and Lisbeth Davidsen serve as examples for illustration.
