Abstract

The authors regret to inform the readers of a significant correction that has impacted our manuscript. Following recent correspondence with the author of the dh.pool function in DataSHIELD, we identified an error in the code used to pool results from multiple imputed datasets. Specifically, the variances were not squared during the pooling process, which directly impacted the calculation of confidence intervals in our study.
This issue was corrected immediately upon being brought to the attention of the package developer. Importantly, this correction has not affected other published studies.
While cohort-specific estimates remain unchanged, the revised confidence intervals have altered the weights assigned to each cohort in the meta-analysis. Consequently, this has affected the overall statistical significance of our results.
We provide updated Figs. 2 and 3, to reflect these changes. These corrections are essential to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our research findings.
