Abstract
We present a method for generating pseudo-random, zoomable planet maps for games and art. The method is based on spatial subdivision using tetrahedrons. This ensures planet maps without discontinuities caused by mapping a flat map onto a sphere.
We compare the method to other map-generator algorithms.
