Abstract
When Dr. Magdalena Kersting returned to Göttingen last November, she brought back more than memories. Now an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen, she discussed how mathematical foundations can open unexpected career paths in STEM education and science communication. During her visit, she also led a workshop helping doctoral students and postdocs develop their communication skills.
