Abstract

While little is known about the specifics of the 14th FYP at this stage, there have been some sneak views into the planning process, the guiding philosophy of the plan, some of its overall targets, and some of its sectoral concerns. At this stage, three main priorities seem to be emerging: The need to uphold vigorous economic
growth rates, a focus on enhancing economic independence of the US, defined as economic security, and a green turn of the economy.
